Cansu Ariti - Founder & Designer
Born in İzmir, trained at Mozaik Design alongside Cassina, B&B Italia, and Poltrona Frau, Cansu founded Goods Istanbul in 2020 with one conviction: Istanbul's craftspeople could stand alongside Europe's best. Every piece is designed by Cansu and handcrafted by skilled artisans in Istanbul, using sculptural forms, honest materials, and nothing more than necessary.
Cansu Ariti was born in İzmir in 1988 and grew up surrounded by the city's collision of old-world craft and modern ambition.
She built her professional career at Mozaik Design - Turkey's most prestigious luxury furniture showroom, representing world-renowned international brands like Cassina, B&B Italia, and Poltrona Frau. Working with the best names in global furniture taught her two things: what exceptional quality looks like up close, and that Turkey's own craftspeople could match it.
In 2020, she founded Goods Istanbul with a clear conviction - that Istanbul could produce furniture worthy of standing alongside the European brands she had spent years representing. Not by imitating them, but by drawing on what makes Istanbul unique: a deep tradition of handcraft, access to extraordinary natural materials, and artisans who still build things the slow way.
Every Goods Istanbul piece is designed by Cansu and handcrafted in Istanbul workshops by a small team of skilled artisans. The aesthetic is rooted in 20th-century modernism - sculptural forms, honest materials, nothing decorative for its own sake. But there is warmth in the work. These are not cold design objects. They are meant to be lived with, touched, used daily.
Her collections - Rock, Wavy, Curve, Moon - each explore a different relationship between material and form. Solid beech wood and hand-woven cord. Black marble carved into organic shapes. Tempered glass layered into sculptural tables. The common thread is restraint: every piece has less than you expect, and that is exactly what makes it work.
Goods Istanbul pieces are carried by Beymen and Hipicon, and shipped to homes across Turkey and internationally.
Cansu lives and works in Tarabya, Istanbul.
